The raven has a long history within folklore here in Iceland, going back to the days of the Settlements and the Sagas. They are amazingly intelligent, wise, and full of character. We have a pair that nest locally, and forage for food between three farms. In the wintertime, they will perch on top of one of our barns and shout until we take some scraps out for them! It's adorable to watch them "krunk" and dance around in thanks after being fed.
